The variety is intended for biomass production as a renewable energy source. The suitability of plant stems for the production of eco-friendly drinking straws is also being researched.
During studies of the physical parameters of the straw, internode length, stem diameter, and material structure were evaluated. The energy value coefficient is 47.3%. It was established that internode diameter is the key factor influencing production parameters.
