The variety «Malika» was created by the method of analytical selection based on the collection and breeding stock of the M. M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. The plant possesses high ornamental value.

Morphological traits include significant variability in flower shape from cup-shaped to goblet-shaped and variation in their diameter from 8 to 18 cm. The degree of petal crinkling varies from weak to strong, and the strength of the peduncles ensures the stability of ornamental quality.
