The plant forms dense clumps with grey-green, pubescent, pinnately dissected, serrated leaves. Flower stalks have weak branching. Flowering occurs early, in the period from May to June.
The variety is a hardy perennial for hardiness zones 3–8, preferring sunny sites and good soil drainage. Intended for use in ornamental gardening, including flower beds, borders, and container gardening.
