The plant has a bushy-rounded growth habit with a basal rosette of dissected pubescent leaves. The aerial part dies off after the completion of the flowering period in early summer.

The color of the petals changes from blue-pink with a brown-purple shade to light blue-violet as the flowers fade. At the base of each petal, there is a characteristic black spot.

The variety is early-flowering. Successful cultivation requires sunny sites with well-drained fertile soil, as the plant does not tolerate waterlogging.
