The variety is used in breeding programs as a rootstock. During agronomic trials, it demonstrated high productivity, exceeding the performance of Orotava and Antillano seedlings in terms of fruit count and total yield per tree.
Genetically, the variety belongs to the West Indian race of avocado. This group is valued for its demonstrated tolerance to saline soils and irrigation with low-quality water.
