Nutka forms dense-foliage plants with smooth leaves containing a large amount of essential oils. Technical maturity is reached approximately 95 days after sowing. The variety shows resistance to powdery mildew.
The plant is intended for fresh consumption, drying, and freezing, and is suitable for both amateur and commercial cultivation. Harvesting is carried out 2–3 times per season during the period from August to October.
Recommended sowing dates for open field are from April to early July. The optimal planting scheme involves a distance of 20–30 cm between rows and 5–10 cm within the row.
