The variety is a semi-leafless form of pea with a long stem without fasciation. The plant has no anthocyanin coloration, is distinguished by yellow-green foliage, and has large, long, and wide stipules. The variety forms a high number of nodes up to the fertile node inclusive.
The variety was bred for use as a winter crop capable of enriching the soil with nitrogen and serving as a source of high-protein feed. During breeding, attention was paid to combining winter hardiness and earliness with plant height and thousand kernel weight characteristic of spring varieties.
