The variety is characterized by a low evapotranspiration rate, which allows it to conserve moisture during growth. The morphological features of the canopy configuration and shoot density contribute to moisture retention under conditions of intensive use.

The plant possesses resistance to Helminthosporium leaf spot. The variety is also included in field trials to evaluate its reaction to diseases such as summer patch and necrotic ring spot.
