The variety was obtained by the method of controlled crossing of the parental forms Populus nigra «H9» and «88007». The clone was developed specifically for use in short-rotation coppice energy plantations, and can also be used for creating mixed plantings in landscape design.
During experimental studies, the variety showed the ability for a stable or increasing dry biomass yield over several harvesting cycles, provided there is sufficient soil moisture. The study of morphological traits and disease resistance, in particular to rust, was carried out as part of comparative trials of a group of black poplar clones.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
