The variety is a female clone of Populus × canadensis with a semi-spreading crown shape. In scientific literature, it became known for its participation in genetic studies, particularly in the identification of clones using molecular markers.
The plant is sensitive to a number of phytopathologies, including spring leaf and shoot blight caused by Venturia populina. Susceptibility to Marssonina brunnea infection and sensitivity to water stress are also noted, which led to a reduction in its planting areas at the end of the 20th century.
