The variety is a hybrid of Euramerican poplar (Populus deltoides × Populus nigra). The clone was created in Hungary with the participation of the country's Forest Research Institute.
This clone is included in the lists of Hungarian breeding materials and is used in forestry. Its wood is used in the pulp and paper industry, for the production of plywood and packaging materials.
The variety is actively used in scientific research aimed at identifying poplar genotypes by DNA fingerprinting, which confirms its significance for the local breeding program.
