The variety belongs to the «Magyar kajszi» group. Fruits are medium to large in size, ranging in shape from spherical to oval or conical. The skin is orange or bright orange, often with a red blush. The flesh is characterized by a balanced taste with a combination of sweetness and acidity, as well as an increased polyphenol content.
The tree is characterized by limited winter hardiness; in particular, flower buds are susceptible to damage from severe winter frosts. Vigor depends on the rootstock used. The variety has a protected geographical indication PGI «Gönci Kajszibarack» in the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén region of Hungary.
