The Petite-Alberge variety, also known by the names Petite-Alberge Ordinaire and Petite-Alberge de Tours, is of French origin and is historically associated with the Tours region. In modern agronomy, the variety is not classified as a commercial one and is practically not found in current industrial catalogs.

The fruits are described as rounded, slightly flattened, with a waxy yellow skin decorated with reddish spots or dots. The golden-yellow flesh has moderate juiciness and a spicy-sweet taste. According to 19th-century pomological sources, fruit ripening occurs at the end of August.
