The variety is the result of hybridization and has the synonym Mărculești 8/1. The tree has medium vigor, forming a pyramidal or spherical crown. Fruiting occurs mainly on short and medium fruit-bearing spurs. The harvest ripens in the period from the end of July to mid-August.
The fruits have a medium or medium-large weight from 45 to 80 g, with a round or oval shape. The skin is orange with a red blush. The flesh is firm and juicy, the pit separates from the flesh, and the kernel is sweet. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness down to -20...-30 °C.
The variety is self-fertile and is distinguished by regular high productivity. Late flowering reduces the risk of damage by spring frosts. The plant is tolerant to major crop diseases and possesses resistance to Plum pox virus, which is why it is used in breeding as a parental form.
