The tree of the Val COT variety has high vigor, forms a semi-upright crown, and branches well. The variety is characterized by early bearing, with fruiting beginning in the second year. Yield is high and regular; fruits are formed mainly on short spur shoots.
The fruits have a round shape and a large size. The skin color is bright orange with a red blush covering 20% to 50% of the surface. The fruit flesh is juicy and aromatic, with a sugar content of about 16° Brix. The fruits are resistant to cracking, have excellent keeping quality of up to 1 month, and are suitable for transportation.
