The tree of this variety is characterized by medium growth vigor. The fruits are medium-sized with an average weight of about 7.72 g and a soluble solids content in the range of 14.5–14.6%.
The variety is self-incompatible with an S-allele genotype of S2S7, requiring cross-pollination. It exhibits resistance to drought, frost, as well as to anthracnose and moniliosis. It is also known under the synonym Pietroase de Cotnari.
