The Delkarsun variety, also known by the commercial name Allegria Delbard, is late-maturing. The harvest ripens in the period from mid-June to July. The plant is a medium-vigor tree reaching up to 10 meters in height without special training; it is often grown in the half-standard form.
The fruits are large, red-colored with purple flesh, possess a sweet and sour taste, and have high resistance to cracking. Flowers are resistant to spring frosts due to late flowering. The fruits are capable of remaining on the tree for 2–3 weeks after reaching maturity.
The variety is self-fertile and is suitable both for home gardening and industrial processing, including use in the confectionery industry and the production of jams.
