Variety description

10 August 2026

The Di Nello variety is a traditional local Prunus avium variety grown in Tuscany. It has been restored as part of cultural heritage conservation programs and is included in the register of products with the Ciliegia di Lari protected geographical indication.

The fruits of this variety have an intermediate shape and an average weight of about 4.62 g. One of the morphological features is the average peduncle length. The S3S12 self-incompatibility genotype has been identified for the variety, which is taken into account when planning pollination in orchards.
