The Elfrida tree has moderate growth and forms a compact crown. The variety is a subject of variety testing in collection orchards, where it is being studied as promising material for breeding.

Under field conditions, the variety demonstrates high resistance to coccomycosis. A number of studies indicate that this variety possesses increased winter hardiness.
