The rootstock is characterized by vigorous growth, comparable to seedling rootstocks. Trees grafted onto it are characterized by late entry into bearing compared to modern dwarf counterparts.
The plant possesses resistance to bacterial canker and Phytophthora root rot. The rootstock adapts well to various soils, including heavy and wet ones, but is sensitive to drought conditions.
