Variety description

10 August 2026

The Fercer variety, also known under the trade name Arcina, was obtained through open pollination of the Stark Hardy Giant variety. Fruits of this variety reach a mass of 15 g; however, they have a high susceptibility to cracking during precipitation in the ripening period.

The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and a long juvenile period, which is why branch bending is often used to stimulate fruiting. The variety is intended for commercial fruit growing and is used in breeding work as a parent form due to its large fruit size.
