The variety is characterized by vigorous tree growth and belongs to the late maturity group. The fruits are large and have a red skin color. Genetic studies have identified the S-genotype of the variety as S5S13.
The variety is used in fruit crop genetic resource collections. Studies evaluating its effectiveness as a pollinator for other sweet cherry varieties, including Regina, have shown insufficient results for ensuring a high level of fruit set.
