The Karmel variety tree is characterized by medium vigor and a spreading crown. The fruits are oval in shape and medium-sized. The fruit skin is red-black in color; the flesh is dark red, juicy, and of medium firmness with a sweet-and-sour taste. The stone separates easily from the flesh.

The variety belongs to the early maturity group. The plant has good winter hardiness and disease resistance. The variety is self-incompatible; for crop production, the presence of pollinators such as the Arthur and Meelika varieties is required. It is intended for fresh consumption, culinary use, and processing.
