The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and an upright branch habit. The medium to small-sized fruits have a heart shape and a medium-thickness skin of a dark red, almost black color.

The flesh is dark red with a medium consistency and is very juicy; the juice is also dark red in color. The stalk is of medium length, and the medium-sized stone separates poorly from the flesh.

Harvesting occurs in the third ten-day period of June, and in higher mountain areas, in the first ten-day period of July. Flowering occurs in the second ten-day period of April. The variety is characterized by consistent bearing and high yield.

The fruits have a sweet taste with a light aroma. Traditionally, the variety is used for fresh consumption and processing, including for the production of alcoholic beverages.
