The tree has medium growth vigor and a spreading crown shape. The variety is characterized by stable fruiting and good yield; historically grown in the Gorizia and Brda regions as part of mixed plantings.

The fruits are of medium or small-to-medium size, having a heart shape. The skin and flesh are dark red in color. The flesh is juicy, of medium or high firmness, and sweet-flavored with a slight acidity; the stone separates poorly.

Flowering begins in the first ten-day period of April, and harvesting occurs in the second ten-day period of June. The fruits have good quality characteristics and keeping quality.
