The variety was obtained through open pollination of the Napoleon variety. Trees have a semi-upright rounded crown, grow moderately vigorously at a young age, and growth intensity decreases upon reaching the fruiting stage. Fruiting begins at mid-early dates.

Fruits have an elongated heart-shaped form and dark violet-red skin. The pulp is firm, cartilaginous, fibrous, light-colored, acquiring a pinkish-red hue after ripening. The variety is self-incompatible, blooming at mid-early dates. In extreme conditions, fruits are prone to cracking and the development of Monilinia rot.
