ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The variety was obtained through open pollination of the variety Sweetheart. The tree has medium vigor, a compact crown type, and adapts well to training using the central leader system. Flowering occurs at a medium time; the variety is self-fertile and can serve as a pollinator for other varieties.
The fruits have a diameter of about 30 mm, are characterized by a shiny carmine-red skin and firm, juicy flesh with a high sugar content (19–20° Brix). The variety has good keeping quality, however, it shows sensitivity to fruit cracking in the pedicel zone and requires protection from excessive precipitation.
