The variety was bred by breeders M. T. Oratovsky and I. N. Turovsev by crossing the variety «Napoleon belaya» with a pollen mixture of the varieties «Valerij Chkalov» and «Elton». The tree is medium-growing or vigorous with a moderately dense spherical crown, beginning to bear fruit in the 3–4th year after planting.
The fruits are very large, weighing 10–14 g (some up to 18 g), wide-rounded, with thin, firm, dark red skin. The flesh is firm, juicy, with a sweet and sour taste. The variety is partially self-fertile and possesses high resistance to frosts down to -28 °C and diseases, including moniliosis.
The variety is universal and suitable for fresh consumption and processing. Due to the firm "cartilaginous" flesh, the fruits tolerate transportation well, and the large stone easily separates from the flesh.
