The fruits of the variety are large or moderately large, dark red in color, and possess a sweet taste and aroma. The variety is mid-season and matures at a time comparable to the Bing variety.

The tree is distinguished by high winter hardiness, successfully tolerating harsh climatic conditions, and the fruits possess moderate or good resistance to rain-induced cracking.

The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinators, for which Hedelfingen, Hartland, or Royalton are recommended. Kristin and Ulster are intersterile.
