The variety is autochthonous to Croatia, discovered in the Požega valley. The tree is characterized by very vigorous growth and upright branching. It belongs to mid-late varieties; the fruit ripening period falls in the second half of June.

Fruits are medium-sized, weighing 6–8 g, have a round-heart shape and dark red, almost black skin. The flesh is firm, crunchy, dark red in color with a sweet-sour taste. The variety is self-fertile and regularly produces abundant yields.

The plant has moderate susceptibility to leaf spot. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, industrial processing, and mechanical harvesting.
