ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The tree is distinguished by vigorous growth and forms a powerful, widely spreading crown. The variety is early, with the fruit ripening period occurring in the second half of June.
The fruits are medium-sized and have a slightly conical, broadly rounded shape. The skin is shiny, dark red or brownish-red. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and of medium density.
The variety is winter-hardy, resistant to diseases, and the fruits have low susceptibility to cracking. It is self-sterile; for fruit set, it requires the presence of pollinator varieties such as Burlat, Hedelfinger, or Kordia.
