The tree of this variety is characterized by vigorous growth. The fruits are large or very large, ranging in shape from round to heart-shaped. During the ripening process, the color changes from red-brown to dark purple and almost black. The flesh is firm, very juicy, sweet, with a delicate aroma and sometimes a slight bitterness.
The variety belongs to the late maturity group; the fruits ripen in July. The plant is noted for good yield, longevity, and resistance to unfavorable conditions, including spring frosts. The fruits have a tough skin, resistant to cracking from rain, tolerate transportation well, and are traditionally used fresh.
