The variety is of Swedish origin from the Småland region and is used primarily in home gardening. An adult tree is capable of growing up to 7 meters in height.

Fruits are large or very large, colored black-red. The flesh is brownish-red, firm and juicy, possessing a sweet taste with a slight acidity or without it. Fruit ripening occurs in the period from July to August.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, corresponding to zone H5 according to the Norwegian classification. The pollination type is most often defined as self-fertile; however, the presence of other sweet cherry varieties nearby may contribute to increased yields.
