10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the early-maturing group, fruits ripen in late May — early June, usually 2 days after the Burlat variety. The fruits have a heart shape, dark red skin, and juicy sweet flesh.
The variety is partially self-fertile; for stable yields, it is recommended to plant pollinator varieties such as Van or Stella. The plant is compatible with various rootstocks, including wild cherry, mahaleb cherry, and Colt.
The variety is used as a table cultivar and is suitable for intensive plantings. Also known under the names Early Lyons and Bigarreau Jaboulay, it shows sensitivity to fruit cracking from rain and susceptibility to Monilinia.
