The sweet cherry variety Romaria was obtained as a result of crossing the Van and Stella varieties. The tree is characterized by medium vigor, fruiting occurs both on May bouquet spurs and on mixed branches. The variety is self-fertile.

The fruits are large, with an average weight of about 7.4 g, with shiny red skin and a short, thick pedicel. In terms of shape, the fruits differ from the Van variety, although they are similar to it in appearance. The ripening period falls in the third ten-day period of June.
