Variety description

10 August 2026

Roana Tardiva is a local variety preserved as a genetic resource in specialized collections in Italy. The variety belongs to autochthonous types that have formed historically and is not an industrial hybrid.

The variety name indicates its belonging to the late-maturing group: fruit harvesting begins in the second ten-day period of June under Italian regional conditions. According to botanical descriptors, the fruits possess a dark, almost black skin.
