The variety was obtained by open pollination of the hybrid Royal Dawn and Minnie Royal. The tree has moderate vigor; the crown shape changes from upright at a young age to semi-open upon entering the active fruiting phase. Chilling requirement is approximately 750 chill units.
Flowering is early; the variety is self-incompatible, belonging to the second incompatibility group (S1 and S3 alleles). Samba and Sweetheart are recommended as pollinators. The variety matures 7–13 days after the Burlat variety.
The fruits are very large, 30–32 mm in size, with a round shape. The skin and flesh are colored dark red. The flesh is noted for its firm texture, which ensures good transportability. The variety is highly productive, although the fruits are prone to cracking.
