The variety is a historical local form that is not a product of modern breeding hybridization. Its conservation is managed by specialized biological stations and fruit biodiversity conservation networks in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The variety belongs to the late-ripening group, with fruit ripening occurring in the 6th–7th week of the sweet cherry ripening period. Other morphological characteristics of the plant and data on disease resistance are not provided in open sources; the description of the variety is in the process of being refined within the framework of research projects.
