The SPC103 tree has a spreading crown shape and low to medium vigor. The variety is self-fertile (genetic type S3S4') and is characterized by an early flowering time, similar to the Lapins variety. The variety matures very late: 44–47 days after the Burlat variety or 5 days after the Staccato variety.
The fruits are medium to large in size (weighing about 10.4 g and 27 mm in diameter), with a flattened shape and a dark brown, almost black skin color. The flesh is dark red in color, of very firm consistency, and has a sweet taste (about 20.5 ºBrix). The variety is distinguished by good keeping quality (up to 6 weeks) and low susceptibility to cracking, although under certain conditions it may show susceptibility to fungal diseases that cause cankers on trunks and branches.
