The variety was obtained by crossing Van and Krupnoplodnaya varieties. The tree has medium to strong vigor, with a loose, spreading crown and branches drooping under the weight of the crop. The variety is mid-late, ripening in the 5th or 6th cherry week, close to the Cordia variety.
The fruits are very large, 30–32 mm in diameter, sometimes up to 35 mm, heart-shaped with shiny dark red, almost black skin. The flesh is firm, crisp, and juicy, with a sugar content of 18–21° Brix.
The variety is self-incompatible (S-alleles S1S9). Suitable pollinators include Sweetheart, Lapins, Aida, Samba, Burlat, Vanda, Regina, and Cordia. The crop is susceptible to Monilinia and has low resistance to fruit cracking, therefore cultivation under protective covers is recommended.
