Ujfehertoi furtos
ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry
Ujfehertoi Gyumolcstermesztesi Kutato, H
10 August 2026
The tree is characterized by vigorous or medium growth with a dense, broadly pyramidal crown. The variety is mid-late, with fruit ripening occurring from the end of June to early July. The tree requires regular pruning to prevent crown overcrowding and to maintain productivity.
The fruits are medium or large, weighing 5–10 g, and have a heart-shaped or broadly rounded shape. The skin is dark red, turning almost black at full maturity. The flesh is juicy, with a sweet-sour dessert taste and colored juice. The peduncle detachment is dry, which ensures transportability.
The variety has medium winter hardiness and good resistance to Monilinia. It is self-fertile and versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, canning, and the preparation of juices and jams.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
