Ujfehertoi furtos
ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry
Ujfehertoi Gyumolcstermesztesi Kutato, H
10 August 2026
The tree of this variety is distinguished by vigorous growth. The fruits are covered with thin skin through which the flesh is visible, their color varies from dark red to dark ruby on the sunny side. The flesh is soft and tender, containing light-colored staining juice.
The taste of the fruits is defined as sweet-tart-sour, while the skin has a sharp-sour astringent aftertaste. The fruits ripen in mid-July, hang on the tree for a long time and are not prone to cracking, becoming tastier as they ripen.
The variety starts bearing fruit early and can produce abundant yields, although under a number of agronomic conditions productivity may be insufficient.
