The tree is medium-sized, forming a compact pyramidal crown of medium density. The fruits are large, weighing 4.8–6 g, round-shaped, dark red, almost black in color. The flesh is juicy, dark red in color, and the stone separates easily.

The taste is dessert-like, sweet with a characteristic acidity, sometimes with a slight astringency. The variety enters into fruiting in the 3rd–4th year after planting and possesses good winter hardiness. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, canning, and other types of processing, and transport well.

The variety is self-fertile and shows resistance to major fungal diseases, in particular to moniliosis and coccomycosis. The variety is suitable for industrial cultivation, including mechanical harvesting.
