The rootstock is an interspecific hybrid of Prunus besseyi × Prunus cerasifera. It is characterized by low vigor, which allows for increasing tree planting density and controlling scion growth energy.

The plant exhibits tolerance to calcareous soils, moderate resistance to root-knot nematodes and the fungus Rosellinia necatrix. The rootstock performs well in heavy and waterlogged soils but is sensitive to water deficit. It contributes to good productivity and can accelerate fruit ripening.
