The variety belongs to the greengage group and is a chance seedling, presumably a mutation of the Old Greengage variety. The tree has moderate vigor and a compact crown shape, reaching a height of 3.5–4.5 meters depending on the rootstock used.
Fruits are small to medium in size, round, with yellow-green, translucent and very juicy flesh; the stone separates relatively easily. The variety is partially self-fertile and requires the presence of pollinators for stable fruiting.
The variety is of mid-late maturity; the harvest is usually gathered in late August or early September. The plant requires sunny, wind-protected sites and high-quality agricultural practices, including good drainage and fertile soil.
