The variety was obtained by crossing the Ortenauer and Ruth Gerstetter varieties. The tree has a broadly oval crown and a vigorous growth type, coming into bearing early. The yield of the variety varies from medium to high; regular pruning is required to control growth and fruit quality.
The medium-sized fruits have juicy flesh with a harmonious sweet-and-sour taste and a freestone pit. The variety is partially self-fertile; for higher yields, pollinators such as Hauszwetschge, Elena, or Mirabelle von Nancy are recommended. Fruit ripening occurs from the end of July to the end of August.
