The variety was bred by exposing seeds of the «Tuleu gras» variety to X-rays. The tree is of weak to medium vigor, belongs to the early-ripening group, with a ripening period from late July to early August. The variety possesses resistance to frost and drought, shows low susceptibility to Plum pox virus, but is sensitive to Monilinia.
The fruits are large, weighing 45–55 g, have an ovate shape and a blue color. The flesh is distinguished by high taste qualities and a solids content of more than 18% Brix. The variety is androsterile and requires pollinator varieties such as «Stanley» or «Anna Späth». Fructification is moderate and stable.
The variety is intended for fresh consumption and is also used in breeding programs as a parental form for developing large-fruited hybrids.
