The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Japanese plum with Prunus simonii. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and an upright crown shape.
The fruits have a characteristic heart shape, yellow-green skin, and translucent yellow flesh, which can sometimes have red shades. The variety ripens in July or August.
The plum is partially self-fertile; for improved yield, pollinator varieties such as Kelsey or Santa Rosa are recommended. The level of winter hardiness of the variety is limited.
