The Lourencinha variety tree has strong vigor, forms an upright crown of medium density and is characterized by a semi-early flowering period with white-pink flowers. The variety is adapted to rainfed farming conditions on marginal soils of the Algarve region.
The fruits of the variety are oval-round or elliptical, medium-sized, with a hard shell. The large kernels are distinguished by a high lipid content (up to 59–65%) and excellent taste qualities, which makes the variety widely demanded in the confectionery industry.
