GF 305 is a rootstock possessing good compatibility with peach, nectarine, and apricot varieties. The plant is characterized by high susceptibility to bacterial canker and root-knot nematodes, and is frequently used in scientific experiments as a reference for sensitivity to Plum pox virus.
This rootstock does not possess high tolerance to heavy, waterlogged, and calcareous soils. Although the plant produces fruits with white flesh and a freestone pit, they have no industrial value and are used exclusively for breeding and virology purposes.
